Acceptance

By accessing or using FollowPact at followpact.com ("the Service") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.

Description of the Service

FollowPact is a subscription service that lets authenticated X (Twitter) account holders form mutual follow agreements ("pacts") with other FollowPact users and monitor whether both sides of a pact remain following each other over time. The Service queries the X API on your behalf and records the results. It does not control, guarantee, or influence X's platform behaviour or API availability.

Account requirements

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
• You must have a valid X account to link and use core pact features.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
• You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their explicit consent.
• You may not use the Service for any automated, abusive, or deceptive activity.

Subscriptions and billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Prices are shown on the pricing page and in the dashboard at the time of purchase.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal accessible from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time unless required by applicable law.

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any law or regulation, including X's Terms of Service.
• Harass, intimidate, or harm other users.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service's API or infrastructure.
• Create pacts without the knowledge or consent of the other party.
• Circumvent subscription limits or billing controls.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

X API dependency

The core functionality of FollowPact depends on access to the X API. We cannot guarantee that X will maintain API availability, pricing, or access terms. If X restricts or terminates API access in a way that prevents us from delivering the Service, we will provide reasonable notice and, where applicable, a pro-rata refund for any unused prepaid period.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that pact check results will be perfectly accurate at all times. Follow-relationship data reflects what the X API returns at the time of the check and may not be real-time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FollowPact and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or where required by law, without prior notice. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after updated terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
